This amazing peel system is formulated to improve the appearance and texture of the skin by increasing cell turnover. This retexturizes and smooths the skin and so improves skin ageing, hyperpigmentation, acne and rosacea.
Traditional peels left patients looking "sunburnt" for days or weeks after a treatment. The Epionce peels have minimal downtime; minor redness/flaking 2-4 days post-peel only. These are powerful yet gentle, leading to an immediate improvement in skin clarity and radiance and reduced dullness and sallowness.
These can be used all over the body: Face, neck, décolleté, back, arms & hands. All skin types can be treated including sensitive skin.
Ideally the peels can be repeated in a series of 2-6 peels spaced 3-4 weeks apart for maximum effect.
Key ingredients include Malic Acid - Potent Alpha Hydroxy Acid that encourages cell turnover, hydration and reduces problem bacteria; Salicylic Acid - Anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties improve skin clarity and texture by cleansing pores; lipophilic properties boost the penetration of malic acid for optimum cell turnover; Willow Bark Extract - Anti-bacterial and comedolytic properties help cleanse pores and Onion Bulb Extract - Anti-inflammatory properties calm and soothe the skin.
Who could benefit from chemical peels?
Anyone with issues ranging form sallow, congested skin to those with acne, rosacea and marked signs of ageing will all notice an improvement in skin texture and laxity with the use of these gentle peels.
Common Q&A about Epionce peels
Q: How will the peel lighten my hyperpigmentation?
A: The Sal-e part of the peel
works similarly to Retin-A, but with much less
irritation to promote cell turnover. The Mal-e part
of the peel also enhances cell turnover and is
known to work well on hyperpigmentation. It is
also better for sensitive skin types who may not be
able to tolerate other hyperpigmentation peels.
Because of the exfoliation, you will need to wear
sunscreen such as Ultra Shield Lotion SPF 50 found
in the Skin Barrier Repair Kit. Using the MelanoLyte
Skin Brightening System along with the peel series
will enhance skin lightening results even more.
Q: Will my skin peel? I have highly sensitive skin? Do you have an alternative to the medical peel?
A: You may experience some
flaking and peeling in the days after the peel, but
down time is very minimal–especially if using
Epionce products at home. Depending on the type
of peel or number of peel layers performed that
day, you should be able to wear sunscreen and mineral makeup the same day or immediately
afterwards. Your skin will look its best about one to
two weeks after the peel.
Q: I have highly sensitive skin? Do you have an alternative to the medical peel?
A: The Epionce Lite Peel: Refresh
is typically well tolerated by very sensitive skin types
who just cannot take the medical-strength Epionce
Peel System. We will start you off with a series of 3-6
peels, each spaced 2 weeks apart, and gradually
build the time the peel is left on the skin. You will
have no to very minimal reaction and your skin will
see the benefit of regular, gentle cell turnover.
Q: When I’ve had peels in the past, I’ve noticed
stinging and discomfort when I use skin care
products. What do I do?
A: Dr Tara will send you home with an
Epionce Skin Barrier Repair Kit to use for 72 hours
after your peel.
Epionce peels are available with Dr Tara at all our clinic locations in Bournemouth (Dorset), Alresford (Hampshire) and Westbury (Wiltshire).
